Sex eduaction should have the parents full agreement as far as I'm concerned. If a parent wants their children to learn the art of bumming, then I guess that's their choice.
Personally I will want to be doing the birds and bees thing with my kids and I will be explaining what homosexuals are, in a totally factual way.
