A very interesting posting on the possible effects of global warming. I was reading a little earlier about the fact that the price of wholesale gas has fallen because of the UK having (so far) a 'mild' winter. The pressure is now on - particularly on British Gas - to cut their prices, and quickly.
If it's warmer, people save on the huge cost of heating bills (as in item 3, above).
As for number 10 above - if ice melts in a place like Greenland - that makes more land become available for farming or housing.
Number 11 (above) is a very good point.
