I would say a lot of youngsters do, as they haven't experienced the real world. With all the propaganda being thrown at people at the moment, it's not surprising that a percentage are now seeping off to the party that says it puts the environment above all other issues.

I doubt it. The Greens may have been trendy during the 80s, but the under 30s of today see them as weird and very uncool. I'm tempted to say that more under 30s vote UKIP or BNP than vote Green.
The Greens of today are more of a humanitarian party than a party of the environment. They are more interested in gay rights in Papua New Guinea than local environmental activism.
