However, the results when she was elected - as shown on Newcastle-under-Lyme's current website - were as follows:
SILVERDALE AND PARK SITE
Name - Party
ALBINSON, JAMES STEVEN - CON 75
BRAITHWAITE, ElLEEN - CARING PARTY 323
CAIRNS, GEORGE O'KANE * - LAB 311
CORNES, JOHN DENNIS - LIB DEM 83
ELECTED: Braithwaite, Eileen (Caring Party)
Eileen Braithwaite therefore represents the Caring Party on the Council, *not* UKIP.

as you can read in the discussion in the other thread, Eileen Braithwaite was elected for the Caring Party, but joined UKIP in 2004. On the Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council website she is listed as a UKIP councillor, as you can see here:

Like Hartlepool, I appreciate the effort you have put into fact-checking our UNOFFICIAL list of UKIP councillors. I do think (if you don't mind me saying so) that you are slightly too ready to accept as gospel anything that appears on any page of a council website. Sometimes the info on their websites is self-contradictory, or one page of a website is more up to date than another page of the same website, as in this case.
Another example: in your opening post on tnis thread, you rule out one councillor on these grounds by refering to the North Devon District Council website:

Yet you allow Michael Pagram to stay on your list of UKIP councillors. However, Michael Pagram is ALSO listed on the North Devon site as being in the ‘North Devon Independent Group’. Why the difference?
