Now if I were a potential Polish worker coming to Britain I would ask the TUC leaders if they were good value for my prospective money ,if I join a union.
Lets look at my own trade-haulage.
Have they managed to protect the international section ? No. Its not there anymore.
Have they made sure their members can park uo safely every night ?
Only if their loads are not high value and they park with the back doors open to inform the theives roaming the highways at night that they should pick on someone else.
Have they fought the government on the iniquitoius situation where hauliers and drivers are fined if clandenstines break into their trailers to gain entry to the UK ? No, their sympathy is more with the criminal element.
Havr they made HGV driving a trade that people want to come in to ? No,even families that have had drivers in the trade for generations have discouraged their younger members from taking the HGV test.
In short, the union are a waste of money.
