Does this decision mean there will be more candidates or fewer candidates than previously intended? The inference is that there will be more but it doesn't actually state that.
The original intention was to run a 'lend us your vote' campaign and only run in the list system, and not in the FPTP areas. The idea was that people would then use their second vote to support UKIP, many perhaps seeing it as a protest vote while also being able to vote for their normal party too.

Now UKIP will stand in every seat, so yes there will be more candidates, but I would think that it decreases the odds of having anyone elected.
