If UKIP wants to break the mould they will have to start hammering at elections more frequently. No local election should be ignored, and as often and as frequently as possible, the name of the party needs to be put forward. Poor results may occur intitially, but in time, people will be more relaxed about voting for alternative parties. The Greens and the BNP have both seen the fuition of this.

Even the EDP are increasingly fighting local elections, but are probably years away from having the impact of the UKIP/Green/BNP nationally.
