I agree with Petrina. After the EU Election in 2004, the europhile Guardian rag printed a poll saying 11% of UKIP's vote had come from Liberal 'Democrats'. I believe at least HALF of the 22% who say they intend to vote for the Liberal 'Democrats' (according to an ICM poll in today's Guardian) could vote UKIP if they knew just how much damage the EU is doing to this country (and their pockets). Few voters know (at present) that UKIP is against ID cards - and has been opposed to them far longer than Campbell's Fiberal Dims.
Regarding the last day of this year's annual conference of the Liberal Dims (yesterday):
And the sum total of the best-selling Sun newspaper’s coverage today of that most important of world events – the Liberal Dim conference in Brighton – is (published on page two of today’s Sun as a footnote to another article on a different subject):
“A slick PR bid to portray the Liberal ‘Democrat’ leader Sir Menzies Campbell as an athletic high flyer and dynamic campaigner backfired at the party conference in Brighton yesterday as even his own faithful burst into laughter.”
