From the Sun newspaper (front page article) 27.7.2006 (brief extracts):

“Crooked” Joseph Dzumbira (35) has (allegedly) let in hundreds of illegal immigrants by demanding bribes of up to £2000. He boasted that he can get anyone in by providing fake documents and ID.

Corrupt immigration officer and senior home office worker Dzumbira (allegedly) let in 200 bogus asylum seekers (he admitted in a boast to an undercover reporter). He said he could provide fake documents and ID and could coach people on how to cheat the system using loopholes learned in his job.

The biggest scam is to pretend that people of other nationalities are Zimbabweans threatened with arrest in their homeland. The Home Office won’t deport Zimbabweans because of the human rights situation (in Zimbabwe).

Dzumbira is from Zimbabwe and is in charge of vetting thousands of cases at Lunar House in Croydon. He told the Sun newspaper undercover reporter that he would make sure he was on duty if any asylum seekers visit Lunar House.

Dzumbira has (allegedly) worked closely with two firms of solicitors – details he kept secret from his bosses. He said that UK border controls are so lax anyone could arrive – post their passport home and a relative use it to come here and stay.

The Sun newspaper exposed a sex-for-visas racket at the same offices (Lunar House) earlier this year.
