I think it is a very good idea! The problem I see with relying on policies like Health ,Education and Crime to win us Westminster MPs,is our policies would have to be so radical, attractive and deliverable that Joe Public is bowled over and just gags to vote for us! When I see policies that good being put forward by UKIP then I will start to believe that, that is the way forward!
