And exactly how many Britons have jumped ship during that time? Probably at least the same or more. Immigration is only half of the problem; compound it with a falling birthrate, high abortion rate, and mass emigration, can only mean one thing - the country as we have known it is well and trully screwed. It is simple maths.
This country has trouble supporting itself in terms of water, food and energy supply, never mind other essential resouces. How can any country in THAT state ever become independent again - UNLESS we adopt a whole new attitude towards renewable locally produced energy, national water distribution, and a population size suitable for the land useage available?
To that aim, UKIP should immediately adopt 3 proposals:
To creat a national water supply network;
To encourage emigration AND and end all un-skilled immigration into the UK with the intention of LOWERING the UK population by at least 25%-50% over 50 years;
To embark on an energy supply programme suitable for the resources that are available in the UK and territorial waters.
Maybe then the word UK INDEPENDENCE Party might actually mean something!
How many people on this forum would emigrate if a government was elected they didn't approve of? A pretty meaningless question really, as we have had one none of us here wanted for the last 3 general elections!
