I thought the popies commemorated all the dead of all wars, not just ours .... Since 1946 there has (so i am told) only been one year when a British Serviceman hasn't been killed somewhere in the world on active service. Many (not all) people today have no appreciation of our history, but then that's a deliberate ploy, get the young, teach them your viewpointt as fact, rubbish or ignore any alternatives and pritty soon you have adults believing exactly what you want them to......
