Rule Britannia is just starting out

Welcome Dave

You do indeed live in a fantastic part of the country. I understand your plight with regards to the housing situation in your area. Having the unfortunate pleasure of living in the Medway Towns in Kent I am very aware of greedy councils selling off school playing fields, property developers with more cash than they know what to do with buying off cash strapped churches, and converting them INTO phpbb_luxury apartments etc etc, the list goes on. It makes me sick to the stomach, as always so many people in positions of authority and power think of today and not of tomorow, and the next generation. Most of our politicians care more about fueling their own selfish gratification than they do about the needs of the very people they were elected by to serve.

Kent is blighted by the travelling community, who plague our society with anti-social behavier wherever they settle and set up camp. Don't expect any help from the hardman pitbull Prezza, he's more concerned with their rights than the law abiding and tax paying citizens of society. These are people who argue that they they can go where they want when they want, and why should they have to pay tax and be part of our way of living. I wish I could tell the tax man to f**k off and not pay, but just like people who refuse to pay council tax I probably be shoved in the slammer with a cell mate whos probably been put there for serial murder and god knows what else! These are also the very people who expect to take full advantage of our NHS though and public services, and schools. The liberals will cry, what about their human rights, what about ours also. What about the fact that whenever these people who set up there so called temporary sites, sites which are usually there for a couple of years or more, people who have brought property near can't sell it, and the value depreciates by a vast amount. Why, because anyone with half a brain knows that once they move in, they're in, and trying to get rid of them is like trying to get blood out a stone, bl***y impossible.

Two people from my work are leaving this country to head for Canada, another from a friends work has already gone also with family. If we were forced out a job its called constructive dismissal, as we all know. Many people leave a country they once loved for similar reasons, quite simply they can't take any more they tell me. I find it very sad its come to this, that more people than ever are leaving our country, that its come to this situation.

I'll hang on in there a little longer, well until I have my first heart attack from opening another British newspaper one fine day, when the stress finally gets to me, and then perhaps I'll think about the possibility of going. But until then, lets carry on the fight against the EU, the fight to install law and order back INTO phpbb_society, get the NHS waiting lists down to an acceptable level so that people actually stop dying before they get to the operating table, and get our state education back up to scratch, anf give our young people the chance they deserve in life. The list could go on, but as Im in the library there are plenty of little Hitlers in here who love to exert their own authority and shove people off the computer on the exact minute of the hour, so questions asked, so I better comply!

Regards, and welcome again John.
