I fear you may both not be aware of the scale of the deception that is taking place and the motivation behind it. As I said, do a search on "maurice strong" and print up some of the results to read over coffee or in the loo! You'll be horrified.

As for climate change: please read some of the articles by Philip Stott, professor emeritus of biogeography at the University of London.

You could start at here - his own site.

I shall try to provide some more useful links.

It goes without saying of course, that Professor Stott is already the subject of vitriol and pillorying for daring to speak the truth against the current orthodoxy.

A petition circulated to scientists rejecting the Kyoto Protocol has been signed by over 17,000 individuals including over 2,000 physicists, geophysicists, climatologists, meteorologists, oceanographers and environmental scientists. An additional 4,400, according to the petition’s sponsors, are qualified to assess the effects of carbon dioxide upon the Earth’s plant and animal life and most of the remaining signers have technical training suitable to understanding climate change issues.
