What it comes down to is that people don't want to be forced INTO phpbb_taking sides. There is a lot of support for Mr Kilroy-Silk as a party member and people want him to remain a strong figure. I think that most people here want Roger to find a good compromise solution, and would offer their full support if he could.
I don't think that the image of the party has been irrepairably tarnished. If Roger can deal with the situation properly and find a good solution, the party can come out of this looking far more adult than it does at the moment. If RKS is forced out and forms a new anti-EU party, we can kiss goodbye to any hope of getting MPs elected, and it would quite possibly be the death of the party.

If you do speak to Nigel, then you can certainly pass on that the membership are crying out for a proper media campaign. When was the last positive media message from the party? Three weeks ago? The main criticism of the leadership by RKS was that they went completely silent after the June elections. Yet, it is a month since he said that and there has been almost no positive publicity in the mean time.
This ominous silence should be a very clear indication to the leadership of what the future of UKIP media coverage will be if RKS isn't brought back INTO phpbb_the fold.
We need a shadow cabinet before the end of November. Those spokesmen should be out campaigning on every issue, highlighting the interference from the EU in our every day lives. We need a press release
every single day announcing policies, appointments, polls, EU criticisms, campaigns and so on. Roger, Nigel and Robert should be on the TV, radio and in the newspapers constantly pushing the UKIP message.
Any day that we don't see a positive UKIP story in the Telegraph, the Daily Mail or the Sun from now on is another day wasted.
