The difference is though

a) Blair won't get anywhere near 50% of the popular vote.
b) People will vote inpsite of Iraq and the war on terror for liar, rather thand because of it, like the states.
c) We have multiple parties that will pick up seats. Labour are not popular, but the opposition is split all over the place. I honestly think the Tories will come third. They are finished.
d) Even if Blair wins, he or Brown will have a terrible time getting things done. They will have to beg parties like ours for support on various issues. Anything they try to get through on Europe will be nigh on impossible.

Bush has a free reign in the US to push an ultra conservative agenda. Blair won't have any such luxury.
