how things work?
As a former European Parliament civil servant (24 years) I have seen many examples of how soon MEP's realise just how 'cosy' their position is. When I heard Nigel Farage state that 'We are not like Guy Fawkes, with the intention to destroy the Parliament from within', I recognised the first symptoms of the 'coasting' disease setting in. Kilroy-Silk has no doubt recognised these symptoms in his collegues and wants to take action to stop the rot.
UKIP needs to go on the attack on the issue of EU withdrawal whilst the popular support is growing. If it does not take advantage of the moment, not only within the UK but by encouraging like-minded groupings in the EU member states, the leviathan EU will continue unchecked to a point where nothing can be done about it.
