Kilroy-Silk 2
At a recent UKIP meeting I attended the vast majority of those present did not want a leadership bid before the election. I have the greatest respect for Mr Kilroy-Silk and do believe he has a lot to offer the Party. I would be very sad if he left the Party over this issue. All he has to do is wait two years and then fight for the leadership. Then the members can decide. I would not, however, wish to see the Party become the 'Kilroy Party' as has happened in other countries which have allowed TV 'stars' to dominate them. This happened in Finland to a party where a TV sportsman became their spokesman. He later left the party after a scandal. It did them great harm and resulted in the loss of most of their seats.
