Increasing numbers are waking up to the fact that the EU does not have their best interests at heart and is there for the ‘enjoyment’ of politicians and bureaucrats. A recent opinion poll in the Times suggested that extreme Eurosceptics outnumber the Europhiles by four to one; meanwhile over 70% of the British electorate demand a referendum on the EU constitution; a similar number do not wish to be saddled with the failing euro whilst a growing number wish to leave altogether. The Federation of Small Businesses is alarmed at the increasing amount of red tape that is being heaped on them, bearing in mind that small businesses in the UK are the country’s biggest employers, to the point where some are giving up.

Mr Farage makes an excellent point that most people are realising that we get very little out of Europe, and it is damaging our economy, rather than helping it. The endless mantra that we have to be in Europe to ensure "investment" and to influence the direction of Europe has been shown to be a lie, or at the very least a gross miscalculation. But when are the big three parties going to start admitting that?
